AKA:

Lorraine Thibert…

A place to share my writings and other creations with family, friends and the world.

Why purple tiger? In 2002, my husband had a business trip and brought back some shwag. Among them was a little stuffed purple tiger for the kids. After not one of my three kids claimed him, I did. He was so cute and, oddly enough, very comforting when I was going through rough times. I named him Kwaba. He lives in the bass drum of my Sonor kit I call ‘Ruby’.

Who am I?

A creative person, first employed for 23.5 years as a public secondary school teacher in the French Immersion programs, then for 10 years as a government regulator for the Manitoba Provincial government in the Water Rights Section; a wife, a mother of three and a grandmother of three and counting; a grateful early retiree anxious to reclaim many years of being too busy to indulge in the more creative interests and eager to give back to the community; a devout Christian, weekly mass attender, long-time music ministry member and professed associate member of the secular institute of pontifical right named Voluntas Dei Institute; a music lover professionally trained in drumming and in singing, and self taught in several other instruments; a generally introverted, life-long learner.

Why a website?

I have way too much stuff that people want to see and read and hear. I tried using mass emails but a website makes much more sense.
